On Friday Oct. 1st, we went to the funeral of a good friend (David Olsen) who passed away more than a year ago. The funeral was East of the mountains-About 3.5 hour drive each way. We needed to stretch our legs a few times! We'd stop and take a short walk. We remembered a place we visited in Ellensburg more than 20 years ago - "Dick and Jane's Art Spot". So on our way back, we detoured through Ellensburg - and found what's now called "Dick and Jane's Spot" It was even more whimsical than I remembered. (I seem to need to visit places like this in moments of sadness - I guess it helps me balance the full circle of life.) I was especially touched by their use of the phrase "Life is But a Dream" It's really appropriate, don't you think?
